INSIGHT 2012: You Had To Be There
INSIGHT's new two-day format reached ILTA members in 13 European countries, plus the Americas and Asia. Also new this year was a full exposition hall that featured nearly 40 international legal technology service providers.
Day one, Tuesday, 8 May, began with a keynote that drew laughs and sighs as Janet Williams discussed her security responsibilities and security issues in the Internet world. The day continued as delegates attended sessions exploring
efficiency and strategy, information management, and litigation and practice support. The day's sessions provided a look
ahead at what may well be the law firm of the future.
Day two, Wednesday, 9 May, started with Vicky Pryce giving a tour de force presentation on the state of the global economy. She explained obstacles and barriers to a full
global recovery, but left us all with a sense of hope that the world is
slowly trading back to a stronger position. Then delegates enjoyed content associated with
emerging technologies, innovation and strategy, and service and
process support. Firms provided guidance on implementing leading-edge technologies, and discussions made it clear that firms differ widely
in their approaches to technology innovation.
